The public comment period on the addition of On-site Data Validation Pilot to the 2015 data review process is now CLOSED.
In the fall of 2014, The Leapfrog Group (Leapfrog) commissioned the healthcare consulting firm Dixon Hughes Goodman to do a feasibility study for an on-site data validation protocol for hospitals submitting a Leapfrog Hospital Survey. As envisioned, the on-site data validation protocol will be administered by Dixon Hughes Goodman, and include a one-day scheduled site visit to validate several sections of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. The on-site data validation will focus on the sections of the survey that are most difficult to validate through Leapfrog’s current robust data review process. Pending successful completion and Board review of the feasibility study, Leapfrog will launch a national pilot of the data validation protocol between July 1 and December 31, 2015, with a particular focus on two to three test markets across the country.
At this time, as Dixon Hughes Goodman conducts its feasibility study, Leapfrog is seeking public comment from hospitals, purchasers, health plans, and other stakeholders on the proposed addition of on-site data validation to Leapfrog’s current data review process.
